This stunning temple is found on Rizal Street in Iloilo City. We took a tour of the temple and we’re seeing Buddhist aspects in the altar region or potentially it’s a hybrid Buddhist-Taoist temple. We’re advised the characters on the entrance necessarily mean “Longshan Temple”. Longshan is a well-known temple in Taiwan. Longshan was developed by immigrants to Taiwan from Fujian province in China. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Longshan_Temple
The vast majority of Chinese immigrants to the Philippines had been also Fujian, numerous of them exiting China through the turmoil of the 1940s.
We also note that there is a Fo Guang Shan Buddhist temple in Iloilo, the Iloilo Fo Guang Yuan, affiliated with the Fo Guang Shan, an international Chinese Mahayana Buddhist monastic purchase dependent in Taiwan.

If anybody can supply more details on the Iloilo temple please leave a observe in the comment box beneath so that we can edit this report as required.
Notice that the entrance reveals a date of 1931 – see upper still left of photo. The brass plaque (below) provides a date of 1985. Did the 1985 setting up exchange or extend on the 1931 structure. Was the 1931 temple in the identical place?
