A Zest Air plane skidded off the runway of the Kalibo airport in Aklan on Thursday afternoon, the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and the Philippine Countrywide Law enforcement (PNP) Aviation Safety Team mentioned.In accordance to Main Supt. Christopher Laxa, director of the PNP Aviation Security Group, the incident occurred at all-around 3:15 p.m.

Z(P)est Air Kalibo

The pilot of the Zest Air flight Z2 058 sure for Busan in South Korea reportedly miscalculated the runway all through a flip prior to consider-off and its front tire rolled into tender ground.

The plane has already been eradicated from delicate floor but was nonetheless on the runway of the airport, as of posting.

All 150 passengers and crew are protected.

Eric Apolonio, community information officer of CAAP, reported the Kalibo airport will be briefly shut due to the incident.

It will resume operations at 6 p.m. right now, he reported.

Authorities stated Zest Air will deliver a rescue flight for the stranded travellers.

In the meantime, 4 flights to Kalibo have been cancelled: 2 flights of Seair, and 1 flight of Cebu Pacific, and 1 AirPhil Specific. 

[Editor’s comment:] When will CAAP eventually ground Z(P)est Air unquestionably? The management of this Air Line is unable to ensure the safety of their travellers and crews. Administration? Who is directing this company’s airborne business enterprise?
