My PH Life
About My PH Life
A Philippines travel blog for people who want more than the postcard.
My PH Life is an independent Philippines travel publication about the part of the journey that happens between the brochure photographs.
We care about lagoons, beaches, and famous viewpoints. We also care about arrival days, transfer margins, neighborhood meals, changing weather, cash access, ferry connections, and the small decisions that determine whether an itinerary works.
What you will find here
- Routes designed around realistic transfer time
- City guides that do not treat Manila as an inconvenience
- Island notes that make room for weather and local rhythm
- Practical guidance on transportation, entry, costs, and everyday life
- Links to official sources when rules or requirements matter
How to read the archive
My PH Life includes historical field notes originally published between 2010 and 2020. Those articles retain their original publication dates and display a historical notice. They preserve useful context, but old schedules, prices, businesses, and government procedures should not be treated as current instructions.
Current guides and newly reviewed articles are separated from those historical reports. When a rule, fee, entry requirement, or safety advisory matters, we prefer primary and official sources.
Who maintains My PH Life
The My PH Life Editorial Team maintains the site, reviews links and routing advice, improves older material, and preserves worthwhile field notes without disguising their age. The editorial rule is simple: describe the Philippines with affection, but never flatten it into a tropical sales pitch.
